What we Do:

LEAD Training is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that develops and delivers career-readiness, life-skills, and social-emotional learning programs for grades 3 through 12.  We do this by going beyond the confines of college and career prep by providing programs focused on what we call “life-prep.” Together we can prepare young people for life success.

What we offer:

Elementary Future Leaders

Our social-emotional learning enrichment program called "Elementary Future Leaders" develops students' interpersonal skills, emotional coping skills, and self-esteem in grades 3-5 through hands-on SEL activities.

Workforce Initiative

We partner with businesses, community partners, and schools through an alliance called the High School Workforce Initiative. Partners include the United Way of Warren County, Warren County Community Services, nine companies, and seven schools.

Program Development

We develop customized life-skills and career readiness programs and program evaluation measures for organizations such as YMCA of Greater Cincinnati and UrbaNext.

High School Future Leaders

Our high school Future Leaders program develops critical 21st-century learning and employability such as decision-making, EQ, and communication skills in teens through thought-provoking discussions, activities, and peer leadership.

Career Quest

Career Quest is a Workforce Initiative program for seniors who are unsure about what they want to do after graduation. Students identify a fitting career pathway and next steps through personalized career guidance and group cohort meetings.

SEL and Career Curriculum

Affordable and engaging evidence-based curriculum for schools and youth organizations developed in collaboration with psychologists, educators, local experts.

Hi, My name is Isaac J. McKinney. I am a recent high school grad (2021). Future Leaders was a program that I got access to through another program I was involved in called Cincinnati State Upward Bound. Future Leaders helped me develop my networking skills and gave me access to people who had been somewhere similar to where I was trying to go. This gave me the knowledge and with knowledge comes success and avoiding mistakes by learning from others helps out in the long run! Future Leaders also helped me become more goal-oriented and focused on who I want to be and what I want to accomplish! It is truly a program that I enjoyed having!
